What is a Nexus Letter?
A Nexus letter is a crucial document in the context of VA disability claims. It is a written statement provided by a medical professional or expert that establishes a link, or nexus, between a veteran’s current medical condition or disability and their military service. The Nexus letter serves as supporting evidence, providing a medical opinion on the causal relationship between the veteran’s service and their current condition. This letter plays a vital role in helping veterans obtain the VA disability ratings they deserve by substantiating the connection between their military service and the claimed disability or condition.
